The Web 2.0 style appeared in 2004, and Web 2.0 is not only a style in web design, this term characterizes an integrated approach to the creation, structure and operation of an Internet resource as a whole. There are a great many articles about this style and it is not difficult to find information on the net. Therefore, I will not describe this style in detail, but simply briefly list its features and give examples of sites. I want to note that there is little pure manifestation of this style in website design, after all, 7 years have passed!

Grunge style is a protest against glamor, ideal cold beauty and unreal. The surge in popularity of the grunge style fell after the widespread use of the so-called. web 2.0 style, which was characterized by a special smoothness of gradients, clarity of shapes, neat shadows and unnatural highlights. Grunge was the opposite of slick web 2.0. Dirty, deliberately untidy, defiant, making it possible to stand out among the bright, but already monotonous mass of clean sites. Now grunge is not so popular, but still interesting. Many grunge sites gravitate towards retro, but all are characterized by a special casualness and more freedom.

Good design is immediately visible. Great design is invisible (Sparano). Minimalism is found in art, architecture, fashion, literature ect., and of course web design. Moreover, this style has taken a serious position and every year attracts more and more fans. What is the secret of the popularity of this style? Today we will understand this issue, as always with examples of great sites. You may have noticed that I do not give examples of sites from uanet and runet, this does not mean that we do not have good sites, but still domestic web design is a little behind, however, for this remark I can be caught and tortured fans of Tatyanych, to whom, by the way, I plan to devote a separate article.
